My Life Coaching Methods
My life coaching methods will help you to move your life forward with a purpose!
I am very action-oriented and know that determining what needs to be done and how to do it is more than half the battle. This is a perfect time for me to act as your neutral collaborator and guide. (The other half is actually doing it -- and that's when having me hold you accountable and cheer you on to success becomes really helpful!) A big part of my job is helping you to identify specific, measurable, and realistic goals. I help you to ensure that your goals are right for you and that you'll be able to see progress.
Once you feel good about your goals, we can work on the necessary steps to reach them. Another of my life coaching methods is to always encourage my clients to see the big picture. Can you think of times when you've been mired in the details of a problem or situation? When that happens it's hard to see or think clearly about the best resolutions. That's when having an unbiased thinking partner to help you sort through the issues can really work well! Learning more about the connection between
motivation and emotion
is also really helpful. Or how about the times when you need both a listening ear AND a kick in the pants? I am adept at listening with empathy and concern. But I also know that you may sometimes need a dose of reality and extra motivation in order to take the final step over difficult challenges. I will give you the encouragement and support needed to help you move forward.
It does no good to get bogged down in the frustration, anxiety, or disappointment that different situations produce. Instead, we will acknowledge and validate your feelings and then help you identify some different options. This is where opportunity meets action!
Another of my life coaching methods is using relevant homework assignments. We will agree upon the actions for you to take during the week between sessions to help you make progress towards your ultimate goal. These actions could include journaling about your methods of self-sabotage, taking 15 minutes of
self care time
time a day, or working on your
positive self talk.
A life coaching method that is really important, is to stay connected. I like to touch base during the week by email to check in and connect with my clients. Getting an encouraging note from someone who's interested and concerned about your life changes can be a much needed pick-me-up in between sessions.
Thank you Corinna for creating such a powerful program! I notice that we have all been positively affected. You are a great facilitator. You give us time and space to change with your encouraging and wise words. --Kiki Lewis, Tucson, AZ

Your free sample session will mostly consist of an information exchange between us. I will ask what brought you to coaching, what you'd like to achieve, and what obstacles have been preventing your progress. You'll share your expectations of coaching, your goals, any any concerns you may have. We'll also discuss your motivation and whether or not you are truly ready to hire a coach. If you haven't already, take this
Coachability Assessment
to get a better idea of your readiness.
I will share my thoughts on how we might proceed with your particular goals and how my services can work for you.
At the end of the session, I will ask for your decision about whether you would like to hire me as your life coach.
If you are ready to be coached and don't have any overwhelming concerns about hiring me, the next step is to make a modest investment to give it a try and take it from there!

Our typical sessions will work differently. One of my life coaching methods is for you to submit a Session Prep form to me prior to each session. This form will help you to identify your agenda for the session and what steps you are ready to take during our appointment. We will begin our session by clarifying your goal for the call. I will ask you pointed and direct questions to make sure we both have a clear understanding of what you want to accomplish during the call.. Towards the end of the session you'll identify some action steps that you are ready to take during the upcoming week to help you move towards your goal. Our sessions are relaxed, comfortable, and supportive so that you feel safe and free enough to let yourself experience your successes!
